When you ask a question here, there are two text boxes, one for the subject of
your question, another for the actual question.

Please use the larger box for the question and just summarize the problem in
the subject, otherwise, your message will be hard to read or, to some,
completely invisible and unanswerable.

In case people cant' see what you wrote:

"Re: I am trying to drop text in from word into mac, I fight this every time
the words appear ontop of the slide and usually mosty outside the slide. How
do I fix this formating"

You're dragging text from Word into PPT?

Instead, select and copy the text in Word then switch to PPT, draw a text box
and while the insertion ( I-beam ) cursor is in the text box, paste your text
from Word.

Yours is definitely the better way, but you can also create an empty Text
Box in PPt (preferably with a border so you can *find* it) then drag the
text directly into the beginning of the box.

Good point. And the main point that both of us are making: create the text box
in PPT and then drop, paste, punt, fling, bomb text into it.
