I'm trying to figure out how to save a document of my daughters to a floppy
disk so she can take it to school. I have windowXP. I'm really new at this so
please don't be to "technical".

Save the file to your hard drive, then locate the file,
right-click on it and select: Send To > Floppy Drive.

File, "Save As" and enter the filename as "A:\documentname.doc"

The A: tells it the floppy drive.

There are other (actually maybe better) ways of doing this, you can
browse to drive A: in the file / save as dialogue, but the above will
work and is relatively simple.

ok if your saving from pc to floppy then: click file>save as> click in the
drop box (nex to the words save in) click on the floppy disk drive A>save.

NO!!!!! As for Office Applications Always COPY to floppy, NEVER, NEVER
Save As to floppy. That is a data disaster just waiting to happen.
