I am unable to attach documents on Outlook 2003 using Word as edi.

I am unable to attach documents in Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 as my editor.
Word sends back an error message saying "No such interface supported" (note,
no period) after I installed SP1 on my machine, running XP SP2. Other
machines in my office are having similar problems. Any ideas?
