I am working in word on a table Letter size nar margins problems

I am working in word on a table Letter size narrow margins and three columns.
My problem is now the bottom of the table is about 4 inches from the bottom
of the page. I want the column to fill before running over to the new column

Are you working with an actual table (From the Table menu) or with newspaper
style columns (Format > Columns...)?

What Word version?
