I can no longer DDE from Access 7.00 to Word 7.0a on Win 98

My PC has had issues off and on, (I am running Win 98) and now when I try
openning a form letter (MS Word 7.0a)linked to one of my Access (7.00)
databases it tells me it can't establish a DDE connection. Will
reinstalling MS Office fix this?

Jeff,

There is a possibility reinstalling will correct the issue. DDE and OLE
require that the applications register themselves when they launch in order
to properly work with each other. Can you copy & paste between all Office
applications (not just Word & Access)?

I believe that you are either not registering due to a poor entry in the
Registry, or there is something else preventing this registration. Have you
updated MDAC or any other componenets on the machine lately?
