I can not access my documents in MS Word

When I try to pull up a document a message pops up saying "document not
available". I can see the documents under the documents and setting area but
not when I am in Word. This is a recent problem after an error message when
turning the computer on that said "can not load personnal settings" I have
try to uninstall and reinstall with no help
