I can not believe that you only offer 300dpi for jpeg for publication in
publisher 2007!!! This is not high enough for good quality magazines and I
can't believe that Microsoft only offers 300dpi. Please tell me higher
resolutions outputs form that can I can use for magazines for just about
every printer and all the magazines DO NOT TAKE DIRECT MS PUBLISHER FILES. I
am a very disappointed customer and would like both an answer and this passed
on as a complaint!!!!

There are excellent photo editing programs around... There are also higher end
DTP programs as well.
Have you considered converting your file to a PDF? Most commercial printers
accept a PDF.

Thanks Mary, I just can not understand why Microsoft would go to the trouble
of offering 300 dpi an could not get it up to 600dpi or 1200dpi for we like
making in house adds and my wife is very comfortable using publisher for
this. It looks like PDF is the only way to. I am disappointed that Microsoft
has not made a change to this simple feature and hope they will add an
'add-in' to correct it for JPG and TIFF .

Thanks for your reply!

This is why you need to ask the publisher/printer what files they accept
before you start working. I did an ad for a national magazine and knew up
front that they would not accept Pub files. I ended up using Photoshop
Elements and then converted it to a .pdf.
