I can not get my Excel, Power Point or Outlook to work

Everytime I go to either of this programs or try to add anything to Word, the
program wants to REinstall it. It is stored on a hidden part of the HD and
came that way from Gateway. They want me to pay them huge amounts of money to
tell me how to get to this file. I do not have disks and cannot find the
files, the system wants to reformat the computer. I am not willing to do
that, to much info stored in five years to lose at this time or back it all
up.

Does anyone know how to get to this part of the hard drive? If I can get
there I can make disks for the programs. MS points me back to Gateway and
Gateway points me to MS and BOTH of them want a bunch of money.

I suspect that what you have is an expired TRIAL version of Office. To
convert it to a full version you WILL have to pay for a licence. If you have
actually paid for Office (and it would be on the invoice you received when
you bought the machine) then your vendor would have had to supply you with
disks for office.

Its a bit difficult to interpret what you are asking;
If you mean how do you create the rescue/recovery cd's for your system from
the hidden partition on your PC, then thats something you would have to ask
Gateway, or look on their site for help as to how to access this and create
the recovery cd's
Its not an MS question, but one for your PC maker as each maker has its own
way of doing things

PS If you dont backup data to external media then your are bound to lose it
at some time. There are numerous external backup solutions
