I can not get the insert date function in 2007 to work.

I can not get the date function to automatically insert in word documents.
The month of the year will auto complete, but if I hit enter (to complete the
month) and then space (which should insert the date) I don't get anything.

AutoComplete for dates has been a bit flakey for several versions. What I
have found is once you complete the month, press the Spacebar, Backspace,
then press the Spacebar again and you should see the suggestion to complete
the current date.

Hi 301,

In the Windows (XP) Control panel you may also want to try going to
Regional and Language Settings=>Regional Options=>[Advanced]=>Date
and reapply the 'Short date' and 'Long date' values you prefer, then start Word 2007 and under Insert=>Text=>Date and Time set the
default format to match one of the control panel choices.
