I can not save an item to my calendar with Outlook 2003

Help, i can not save an item to my calendar with Outlook 2003. I try to
input a appointment into Outlook and it tells me that it can not save item.

Also, my calendar that I imported from my previous version of Outlook no
longer bolds that dates that I have appointments on.
