I can only send 1 pic per email, why???

In my Outlook 2000, I can receive emails with multiple pictures attached. I
can send one picture per email, but when I attach more than one, Outlook will
not send them out, it does not show an error, it just freezes when it is
halfway sending.

How large are the pictures? Are you on dial-up or broadband? What happens
if you just wait an additional few minutes? Sending large emails takes
longer than sending a quick note without attachments.

they are standard 1-3mb pix. I am on Comcast broadband. I left the pictures
sending overnight and still nothing. I know there is a solution when I am
receiving multiple pix on one email from other users.

What is the size limit that Comcast puts on messages? They have an upper
limit although I don't know what it may be. It is usually 5 mb for
attachments.

how do I find what the limit is? I cannot believe you can only send out 5mb,
even if their limit is that low, there must be an alternate way to send large
pic files, any ideas?

Contact Comcast to find out - as for a better method, put them on your
personal web space provided by Comcast and send a link.

Hi there!

I have no idea of the content or format of your pics, but 3Mb for 1 picture
seems rather large to me. Have you considered converting them to a different
(more compressible) format - eg .JPG? This would make it easier for everyone
- both for you and the person who may have to download them using dail-up!
For example, a 2-3Mb Bitmap (.BMP) pic may well compress to a 300kb JPG file,
with no noticeable loss in picture quality.

Just a suggestion....
