If you view the send/receive progress, you will see that there is an error
message associated. Please post this message in its entirety and include your
version of Outlook and type of mail account.
If your send/receive intervals are over too short a period of time, please
ensure they occur no more frequently than every 10 minutes.
If antivirus is configured to integrate with Outlook, disable it or you may
even have to uninstall/reinstall it. Scanning incoming and outgoing email can
cause these types of issues as well as others. It won't compromise your
security since your real time scanner will catch whatever it's been updated
for.
