I cannot access my read-only cd rom file I copied from a floppy.

I have a new computer taht does not use floppy disc. I borrowed a device to
let me copy a file from a floppy to a disc. Now, I can no longer write or
make any changes to save to the disc because it is now read only. I followed
the steps suggested by MS Office Online: clear the read only check box and
hit apply. I received the message that an error has occurred applying
attributes to file. Access is denied. I have also tried moving the file to
my desk top and was unable to do so. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thankyou

The file on the cd is allmost certainly read only.
You need to copy file to your PC, any suitable location. You can copy within
Explorer.
On this file you would need to ensure read only attribute is off.
You will be able to edit the file, provided you have an App that can open
it.
You can only copy to cd if your cd is a 'cd writer' and you have burning
software

PS floppy drivers are cheap, they still have their uses :)

Thank you! I was beginning to think that I am the only person who still
thought floppies still have their use.
