I cannot cancel reminder as it not linked to occurence?

I am just started using Vista and have found last night that I keep having a
reminder pop up and I cannot delete, cancel or snooze it as the error msg
reads
"cannot locate reoccurence information for this event"
Any suggestions???

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command switch.
