i cannot click on hyperlinks in e-mails

when i attempt to follow any hyperlink contained in an e-mail or word
document I get a message saying ' this operation has been cancelled due to
restrictions in effect on this computer, please contact your system
administrator'. I cannot find any settings that I can change to prevent this.
