I cannot close PST file in outlook

I recently did maintenance on my PST files and ran PSTSCan. I found errors
and did eberything the program asked me to do. I copied some old 2002 foldes
into a new 2003 PST format file. and then closed all of the PST files except
for the main. When I reopened Oultook two files I had closed remained opened
and now I cannot delete them. It says: "The Operation failed: an object
cannot be found." Well if I clsoed the files properly why would Outlook keep
them open. I have to delete these. Please help.

The best way to get rid of extra .PSTs that won't close is to create a new
profile and only add the .PST files you need to it. Go to Control Panel |
Mail | Show Profiles and create your new profile there.

I've had the same thing happen, and Jocelyn's solution was the only one that
worked for me as well. The outlook profile was corrupted, so deleting it
and re-creating it was the only option.

Alex.
