I cannot cut and paste pictures from the web to Office XP

Hi

I am running Office 2002 on Windows XP. I am now unable to copy and paste
images from the Web into a Word document (something I have been able to do
for ages)

So far I have tried:

- changed the view to print layout
- changed the picture to "in line with text"
- turned off picture placeholder

I can save the image to My Pictures and then cut and paste it, but it's a
bit of a chore.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Could be your Internet temporary cache is full, in Internet Explorer, tools,
Internet Options, delete files.

Hi Steve,

Is MS Word set to be able to access the web past your firewall?
If you use Edit=>Paste Special in Word and select a format other than 'HTML' can you paste into Word?

Hi Bob, yes I'm sure I can access word via the firewall. I have the same
problem if I turn it off.
If I use Edit=>Paste Special and select another format, it works. Can I
change my format to paste special permanently so I don't have to do it for
every picture on a document?

Thanks for your help

Steve
