i cannot edit a document

Hi,

I was sent VISIO documents to correct. When I open them, I am unable to
edit anything in the document. I have uncheck the read-only box in the
file's properties. That did not help. I have renamed the file. No help....

Can anyone tell me why I cannot work on this file?

There are several ways of protecting a Visio diagram, the file properties is
one of them. The individual shapes can also be protected (which is
controlled from the menu as well) and there are other protections that can
only be accessed by using the shapes shapesheet (or VBA code).
