I cannot even uninstall it!

I have used Groove Virtual Office 4.1 for long time and it works well.
I set it for running automatically with running with the computer. Last time
when it started to ask me to login in I clicked "cancel" by mistake. Since
then I cannot run it anymore. It says there's error. I tried to uninstall it
for re-installing it later but I cannot uninstall it! It always says "cannot
delete groovebinaryfilestore.xss". I even deleted its infos in registration
list but still cannot delete all files. I tried to install a new one but
cannot be done.
How can I do? Please help me! Why it's so stubborn? Must I re-install
windows system? That's a big work!

Let's perform the following steps to see whether we can uninstall Groove 2007:

Before the steps, please backup your Groove Account as a file.

1. Right-click on the Groove icon in the system tray, and choose Exit
Groove (Shut Down Groove in 2.x).
2. Click the Windows Start button and choose Run.
3. In the Run box, input the following command:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\GrooveClean.exe" -all
4. Click OK.

Then, please locate the following folders and delete them:

• C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
• C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\groove
• C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\OFFICE\Groove

Try to reinstall Groove agian. Is this issue resolved?

Dear Sara,

Thanks for your reply.
But I cannot find this "GrooveClean.exe" file. Actually when I installed it
I didn't install it in my C drive, I installed it in my E drive. Now I've
used some software to clean Groove program from my computer and even registry
list. But the folder "Groove" in E drive which contains all the data cannot
be deleted. It always says "cannot delete groovebinaryfilestore.xss because
it's being used".
Can you help me?

Please Click the Windows Start button and choose Run. In the Run box, input
the following command:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\GrooveClean.exe" -all

Then, click OK. Can you run this command on your computer? If not, please
go the following folder to see whether you can find the GrooveClean.exe file:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\GrooveClean.exe

If you cannot find the file on your computer, please perform a Search on
your computer to locate the groovebinaryfilestore.xss file. After you locate
the file, right click on it -> Properties -> General tab -> Uncheck Read-only
option. Click OK.

Now, try to locate the following folders and delete them:

• C:\ or E:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
• C:\ or E:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\groove
• C:\ or E:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\OFFICE\Groove

Try to reinstall Groove agian. Is this issue resolved?
