I download office 2003 sp1 (the 70MB file that claims not to need the
original installation source). I have read numerous posts on this subject,
but I am stuck. One posts suggests to uninstall everything and reinstall
then apply the SP. I use blackberry and visio, so I am not enthused about
uninstalling anything and re-installing. 2nd post says that I may have
deleted msocache. Well that folder is here, but the file that is remotely
close is sku112.xml. The original reason that I installed the service pack
is to remedy an issue with "exchange extension" that is addressed with SP1.
Furthermore, I need to deploy sp1 across the company in order to address all
the recent security bulletins.
please help with a usable solution. I cannot reasonably uninstall and
re-install office on all of the computers in the company.
