I cannot find the email in a archive pst file(outlook2007)

I moved the pst file(size is 600M) from C: to D:, Then I changed the path of
archive file in outlook2007(Click file menu, click archive, click browse
button, and select the pst file in D drive). Then I did 'Archive' with a
earlier date(2006-6-1). Then then I couldn't find the original email :( . But
the size of this pst file still was 600M. So, how can I restore the original
email? I have tried the scanpst tool. But the problem was not fixed. Can
anyone out there help me?

Each folder can have an individually-specified archive PST. Check the
properties of the folder from which the messsage was removed. RIght-click
that folder, choose Properties, select the AutoArchive tab and see if a
different PST is specified.

If that doesn't pan out, open the folder Outlook uses as the default folder
for PST creation and see if another PST was created there.

Did you restart Outlook after changing the Archive PST location but before
trying the Archive process?

Hi,
have you considered using one of the search plug-ins for Outlook, e.g.
'lookeen' (http://www.lookeen.net)? It may be helpful with your problem.
You can add more search attributes and specifically define where to
search, in multiple .pst files or archives at one for example.
Well, maybe it can help you as it was helpful to me. Sometimes I did
find more without the integrated Outlook search :)

Ok good luck, Pat

By using a 3rd part data-recover tool called Advanced Outlook Repair,
you can find your original mail easily. You can download a free demo
version at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe . I think it is a
useful repair tool for you. It is easy to recover your PST file by
using its wizard. It is a powerful tool to recover messages, folders
and other objects from corrupt or damaged Microsoft Outlook PST
