I cannot get the new unopened mail icon to appear in the toolbar.

I cannot get an Unopened Mail icon to appear in my toolbar for new incoming
emails. I am using Outlook 2007. My email account is with "hotmail", and I
had downloaded the Outlook Connector so that all my emails come in directly
to Outlook. I've always had the unopened icon in older versions and at work,
and I really miss it. I'm sure I just don't have something set right, but I
can't find out where. Please help! Thanx!

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking - I only have the one email account
with hotmail - only one account sending email to Outlook thru Connector. (PS
- I DO have "show an envelope" checked. in the email options.)

You can create a new mail profile in Control Panel-> Mail-> Show Profiles
and when you are being asked for which account type you want to use choose
Other-> Outlook Connector. This way you create a mail profile without a
Personal Folders data set as the default store and your Hotmail account will
carry the Outlook Today logo. This way your Hotmail account will show an
envelope when receiving a new mail item.
