I cannot import a restored data .pst file

[Problems Importing Restored Contacts.pst]

Our system recently crashed. Fortunately, all our data files had been saved
on another server and have been succesfully restored except for our Contacts
..pst file in Outlook. In fact the server has restored it successfully but I'm
having problems importing it to Outlook. I was given directions on how to do
this but it is not working. The file was restored to a different location
(Desktop).

Care to explain this, because Outlook doesn't keep contacts in a separate
PST. If you restore the PST correctly, you'll see all your mail, contacts,
calendar, tasks, etc., because they're all in the same file.

State EXACTLY how you "restored" the PST and how you connected it to
Outlook. Include your Outlook version.
