I cannot install office 2007

Hey, im running a windows Vista 32 bit, and it came with Office 2007
home and student edition. I managed to uninstall the trial version, by
removing the registry keys, and a bunch of other files.
Now my problem begins when i try to install Office Ultimate on my
computer. It takes a really long time to extract the files, and when the
set up finnaly starts, it locks up the machine, after the screenw here
you select the components to be installed, and after that it gives me
the message "Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 setup has found an error". I
have tried to clean my registry using winASO, and it indeed found over
3k errors, fixed them all. I doublechecked on the system files and
hidden folders for any traces i may have missed, and im unable to find
anithing related to Office.

I figured that maybie if i reinstalled the trial it would work, so i
went ahead to the microsoft site, and i downloaded the trial again,
atempted to install, and i got the same error.

Help?

Why did you not uninstall the trial via Add/Remove dialogue?
If that was not available to you there is an extensive MS KB article on
manual uninstall.
As its who knows what registry keys youve removed and what damage your
registry cleaner did.
Assuming you have data backed up, or this is a new PC, recover the system to
factory specs, update Vista, uninstall the trial correctly, reboot PC,
install your programs
Oh and dont use registry cleaners, they are snake oil

Instead of posting in that 3rd party forum view, try posting directly at
Microsoft. That way the responders can see what you are asking about. be
sure to post particulars and error messages.
