I cannot open email attachments in Outlook 2007

The latest downloads are causing me problems in that I cannot open email
attachments. I know its the downloads because the problem disappears when I
use System Restore, and re-appears when the latest downloads are
re-installed. The Diagnostic Tool gives me the all clear.

Did you recently install Google Desktop Search? What happens if you
uninstall it?

Hi Milly,
No have I have not installed or uninstalled Google Desktop.
I have now just gone through the 'Repair' procedure with the DVD and as of
last night the problem appears to be resolved. As a general comment I am
finding that Office 2007 is less stable than Office 2003.
If the problem re-occurs I will post a reply.

Hi Milly.
Problem is still here. I have now tried 'Last Known Good Configuration',
'disabled McAfee', 'Tried Diagnostics', 'Repair' but the problem has
re-occured this morning - ie I cannot open email attachments and then Outlook
is forced to shut down. When it reopens the problem is still there.
I can only repeat that when I go back using System Restore the problem
disappears so it would appear to be one of the most recent MS downloads.
Has anybody any suggestions??

At this problems i used next not bad application-'outlook problem cannot
view emails'
how i remember is free, program can help to extract all files with *.eml,
*.vcf and *.txt extensions from *.ost file, when you cannot access your
mail account, stored on Microsoft Exchange Server, will quickly scan all
hard drives and find it. If current user has only one profile and its
data is stored in a *.pst file, the path will be automatically displayed
in the dialog box,can convert the data to a file with *.pst extension,
that can be opened with any mail client, when cannot view Outlook
emails.
