I am not able to open up a url from inside of an email. when I click on the
link it opens up a folder instead of opening up a browser and going to the
link. I have Mozilla Firefox as my default browser.

Aloha Carl,

You probably have the file association incorrectly set. Go into My Computer
or Windows Explorer. Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types and check
to see what the HTM, HTML and URL file types are set to open with. Probably
one (or more) of them will be set to "My Computer" (or Explorer) instead
of Firefox. Change it.

Is the browser window called Locate Link Browser? If so point it to
firefox.exe.

Another way to go is to reset your websettings in Control Panel-> Internet
Options-> tab Programs
After this you might have to reset FireFox as the default browser.
