Hi
When I ran the Microsoft autoupdate and it told me that there was no update available for office. And then i tried to view the latest updates installed and there was none. So i went and downloaded the latest update manually. However, when i tried to view it in the latest updates installed it was not there!! The autoUpdate is supposedly 2.1.1
Now my question is:
How do I know that i have the latest update correctly installed? How do i ensure that the auto updater will detect future updates?
All this is really annoying me lately!

It's not on the autoupdate servers yet. Only on Mactopia at this point.

MSFT issued a new installer that should fix all install problems. Follow the
directions here:

New installer for 12.0.1

<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2008/03/new_installer_for_1201.html>

It's a bit confusing:

The bits to install are the same so the updater release date was not
changed. However, the actual installer was changed. This fixes some problems
experienced by some users. An analogy is your car is a 2007 Chevy, you were
running on regular gasoline, but now use premium. Same car, same model but a
different agent to run your vehicle.
