Hi all,
For the past several days I've been frustrated by an error message
every time entourage has tried to access my hotmail account. The
access block has been happening even though I haven't changed any
settings, passwords, or
anything else (what I did do though, which hasn't affected the problem
in any way, was accepting a cookie from
hotmail.com after my problem started, which I'll talk a little bit more
about in the last paragraph). This is the error message:
"Mail could not be received at this time.
The server for account "hotmail" returned the error "Logon failure:
unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security
settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your
password?"
So I can't access hotmail via entourage, but I'm able to log in to
hotmail's web interface just fine.
Something unusual that happened within the past several days, but which
occured *after* I started getting that error message was that entourage
(and not my web browser) asked me, while I was trying to download my
hotmail messages using entourage, whether I wanted to accept a cookie
from hotmail. I accepted the cookie, but it didn't fix my problem or
change the nature of the access blockage, at least in any way I could
percieve.

Oh, by the way, I'm running Entourage 10.1.4 (030702) on Mac OS 10.3.9.
