I can't activate Office 2007 Beta

I just downloaded office 2007, which I purchased from $1.50 from Microsoft.
I used the key to install it. I can not activate the software however. When
I attempt to activate, I get the following error message:

"The Activation Wizard is unable to find a connection to the Internet.
Please make sure that your connection is working properly and then try
activation in a few minutes"

I have been trying this for two days. Obvioiuslly, since I'm posting this,
I DO have internet access. Any Ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem. 'Maybe' the activation servers are down. I
know they were for a day or two back in May or so of this year, but that
still doesn't solve my problem.

I just want to be able to use the product, uggg.
