I can't assign right person to "task update approver"

I have been trying to assign someone else to be the task update approver in
MS Project Pro 2007, but they don't appear in the drop down list. Only when
they (the new task update approver) sign in to the project themselves, can
they assign themselves to be the task update approver. This is not very
convenient, as these people are not necessarily the most active EPM users and
in the mean time, time update approval requests keep coming to me. Is there
any way to change this to allow a 3rd party to assign someone else to be the
approver?

TJMAES --

In the future, please post your Project Server 2007 questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
no, there is no other way to change the Status Manager for each task in an
enterprise project. The new manager must open the project and specify
him/herself as the Status Manager for each task, then save and publish the
project. Hope this helps.
