i cant copy controls from one view to another

Hi

MS documentation says clearly that we can copy controls from one view to
another but practically it doesn't happen. I wanted to create a read only
VIEW of my form and for that purpose I tried to copy the controls from the
main VIEW to the newly created blank VIEW but it didn't work. No matter how
much you try, it simply doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong or is it a
bug in InfoPath 2007? I am working in a virtual environment and using VPC
2007. I will appreciate any help in this regard.

Thanks,

Daska

Is it happening because I am using a version that is for non-commercial use?
Please help!

Thanks

Daska,

I am using a full license, and copying the controls from view to view works
just fine. I can't say for sure what your issue is, but at least you know
that it SHOULD work (not very comforting perhaps (-:

BTW, I always use Ctl C and Ctl V for copy and paste -- don't know if that
makes any difference.

Hello Daska

I am able to copy the Contols from one view to another View in Infopath 2007
by CTRL + C and CTRL + V. How are you trying to copy the contols between the
Views? Wirtie your steps in detail

Thanks for the replies. I use ctrl-A (to select), ctrl-c and then ctrl-v. I
know it should work but it's not working. I guess its because of the fact
that I am using a development version copied from the MSDN disk. I will try
to install the full version and test this. Meanwhile, if you find something,
please let me know. Thank you very much for your time.

Regards,

Hi,

Usually this kind of problems is happened when multiple users are using one
system. Some time it also happens when you copied large amount of data. For
these kinds of issues we need to restart our machine then it works correctly

Hope this helps you.
