I can't delete mail folders from the folder list.

Outlook 2003 with Outlook Connector, my main address is @msn.com--
I made mistakes when trying to set up other accounts in Outlook.
Now I have entrys in the Folder List, such as "Hotmail" that I can't delete
or close.

If I try to right click and "close" the folder, I get a message "The
messaging interface has returned an unknown error..."

If I try to left click on a folder name, I get "The set of folders can not
be opened" with a dialog about ost & pst files.

If those are ghost folders associated with Hotmail or MSN accounts, you must delete the accounts in Tools | E-mail Accounts.

If they're from some other source, you have two choices -- ignore them or start over with a new mail profile. See http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/ghosts.htm

Sue, thank you.
The folders (accounts) aren't even listed under "Tools | Email Accounts".
I will try the link you sent and see what it says.
btw, I had an opportunity for a free support call to Microsoft and they
seemed to think that listed folders may be associated with an empty .PST file.
