I CANT IMPORT .PST OUTLOOK BACKUP HELP PLEASE

Hi i backed up my outlook 2003, updated to outlook 2007 tried to import backup.pst file and computer tells me backup.pst is not a personal folders file, can someone please help me i have some important emails saved.

First of all, as posted here certainly almost daily, do NOT use the import
function to restore your data.
Secondly, where is this file? If it's on a CD then you need to copy it to
your HDD, remove the Read-only attribute if set, then look here on how to do
