I can't open folders in word, excel or powerpoint

I have windows xp home edition and office 2003. Suddenly I can't open folders
in excel or word or powerpoint. I can open files that I have used recently
(i.e. thos that are on the drop down menu) but if I go to "File" tab and
click "open" I then can't open the folders. Have tried repairing - am told
repair was successful - it didn't correct the problem. Have removed and
re-istalled office - didn't correct the problem. Have reported problem to
microsoft and followed link - didn't correct the problem. Have downloaded
latest updates - didn't correct problem. Dispair! Can any one help?

You have posted to an Access table design newsgroup. Your post does not
seem to be related to building tables in an Access database. Try posting to
a Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Office newsgroup that seems to deal with
opening files. You might want to explain what happens when you do try to
open files in this manner. Simply "can't open the files" is not really
going to help much.
