Hi.
Using the Administrative restore, in the Select item to restore i can
restore projects selecting them

When i want to retore calendars, resouce pools, enterprise global... i
can't. Am i missing something? is this by design (i don't think so)... is
this a bug?

Thanks in advance

Did you actually back up any of the other objects, either manually or
automatically?

Hi, Dale.
Yes, i did. I used Administrative backups and scheduled backups. I can
restore projects by selecting the backup date. This is not possible with
Resource pools, definitions, custom codes...

Am i doing something wrong? or you cannot select the date to restore object
different that projects?

I believe that projects are the only objects you can restore by date. Hope
this helps.

Welcome to Project Server 2007. In spite of its potential power, it is
seriously crippled by multiple bugs (some very serious) and design flaws
that make it clumsy and frustrating to use. My friend, you are on the
"bleeding edge" with Project Server 2007 until SP1 is released. :)

they should use "Restore points", like Windows XP and Vista. :-D

Gary has a good point. Would a "Restore point" restore all projects
back to that point?

If not, what should it do to a project that used a resource or Custom
field value that was just erased by the restore?

If so, then you have that functionality right now: back up the SQL
databases and restore those as a group.
