I can't see images in Word or Publisher.

When I put images in Word or Publisher, they don't appear, regarless of the
type of file. They appear just fine in Outlook and PowerPoint. I've updated
the software and I've ran a detect and repair. No good.

When I change the picture display under the view menu, the "x" appears
across the image box when "Hide pictues" is selected, but disappears when I
select "Detailed Display" or "Fast Resize and zoom".

The images do print when I print the Publisher or Word document. I just
can't see them on the screen.

Slide the acceleration down on your adapter a couple of notches, control panel,
display folder, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab.
If this solves the problem you need to update your graphics/video driver. Go to
the manufacturer's web site and look around.
