I can't see pictures of older word files on word 2007?

Cliff

I had made some files wth an older version of Word wich contained pictures,
but with Word 2007 I can't view the picture when I open these files, however,
I can see them in print preview and they do show when the document is
printed. How can I view the picture when I open the document?

Click on the Office button and then on Word Options in the bottom border of
the dialog and then on the Advanced item and go to the Show document content
part of the dialog and make sure that the Show picture placeholders box is
unchecked.

I had the exact same problem. And in the picture toolbare, most of the
buttons are grey (can't crop, adjust brightness or contrast, etc).
I tried to do like you said, but I can't find the advanced item nor the show
document content anywhere. Please help.

If you are using Word 2007, you follow the instructions given. The Office
Button is the Round Pizza in the Top Left Corner of the Window.

If you are using an earlier version of Word, from the Tools menu, select
Options and then (I think that) the option is on the View tab. If it's not
on that particular one, it is definitely on one of the tabs of the Options
dialog.
