I can't see pictures or wordart when inserted...

When I started using Microsoft publisher 2003, I had no issues with it. It
was easy to manouver myself around the program. Except that now, it won't
show the pictures I'm inserting. I get the picture frame but no picture
inside. I've made sure the "hide photo" setting isn't on (which it isn't),
yet I still can't get it to pull up the clip art, word art, or copy and paste
pictures. Am I missing Something? I could really use some help. Thanks. J
