I can't see the fill color in a drawing object.

I've created a drawing object (I've tried various autoshapes) and filled it
with a color (I've tried double clicking to change the color and by using the
paint can icon).

The object will print in color and when I make a PDF it's fine, but I can't
see the color on screen in any view (print layout, print preview, etc). I
can see table colors just fine. It's just the drawing objects that I'm having
a problem with.

Can anyone help!?!?

Make sure you don't have High Contrast selected in the Accessibility Options
in Windows Control Panel.
