i can't seem to change the default language in word from welsh!

I've been trying to change the default language in Word from Welsh to English
(U.K.), but nothing works! i've tried fixing it in word by going into set
language and making english the default language, and by going into microsoft
office language settings. has anyone had this problem and fixed it? if so,
please help!

Options | Languages | Details | Settings. What is the default
input language?

thanks for replying, it was rather silly. i did read a page on tips about
word after writing this post and discovered that if my windows' language
settings are wrong it's going to keep switching back to that... and lo and
behold! for SOME UNKNOWN reason it was Welsh!! I changed it to U.K. English
and everything was fine.
