i can't send emails

i get an error message that says
an unknown error has occurred. Protocol:SMTP, Port:0,Secure(SSL);No,Error 013E
Account:'incoming.verizon.net(1)', Server:'incoming.verizon.net',
Protocol:pOP3,Server Response: '-ERR invalid command', Port:110, Secure(SSL):
No, Server Error: 0x80090, Error Number:0x800CCC18

Have you used the account successfully in the past? If not, try removing &
readding it according to the settings you got from Verizon
