I can't type in Word or Excel

Bryan

I can type everywhere except where I need to? Example...
Word will come up just fine, cursor blinking, but nothing
happens at all when hitting the keys. I started with Win
98' Pro. Updated to XP pro. over a year ago. Everything
was fine. In between having to use word or Excel I
Uninstalled a bunch of the kids stuff they don't use
anymore, mostly games. I'm guessing this has something to
do with it. However, I uninstalled XP Pro. and then
reinstalled. thinking this would work. It didn't? I also
went to the start up window and made sure everything was
set to default. Still no change. I went as fare as
deleting the keyboard from Device Manager and starting the
computer back up again, and still no change. Anybody have
any idea's about this? If you think you can help let me
know. I would greatly appreciate it.
Please keep in mind, I can find my way around a computer
ok, but I am no expert!
Thank you very much.
Sincerely, Bryan

This is symptomatic of some computer viruses/spy-bot programs. Check
out your machine with anti-virus software and spy-bot detectors.

Also confirm that you activated these products with Microsoft.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hi, Bryan. Click on Help | Activate Product. If the Activation Wizard starts, then you need to reactivate the product. If you are already activated, a dialog box saying so will pop up.

Hi Bryan,

This is a symptom of the PWSteal.Tarno.B virus.

As Rob noted, update your virus scanner and perform a full scan on all
files.
