I can't upgrade from Works 7 to Office 2007

My computer came with Works 7 installed in February 2009. I bought and
installed Office Standard 2007. Yesterday I had to perform a System Reset.
Now Office upgrade can't find Works (it is there and in the correct folder -
I have checked). When I try to upgrade I get error message: The path you have
chosen does not point at a qualifying upgradable product although Works is
listed on the Office box as upgradable. I upgraded it before, so why not now?
It is not a student or teacher version of Works but the full one. I tried
reinstalling Works with the disc that came with the computer and have
searched for any updates necessary but nothing works.
