I can't view unread or read emails in my inbox

Suddenly today, I find that even when my inbox shows how many unread emails I
have, when I click on the inbox to open it to see my unread emails it does
not show them to me and instead says "There are no items to display in this
view."

The inbox also does not show ANY of my read emails, even though it displays
at the bottom left of the screen that I have 396.

Did I accidentally press a key that made this happen? What can I do to be
able to read my unread and read emails from my inbox again? Thanks, Peter

Try switching to a view that doesn't hide the messages.

Go to the run line in start and type the following with out quotes
"outlook /cleanviews"

"Bother," said Pooh as he struggled with the computer.

"It never does quite what I want."

"I wish Christopher Robin were here."
