I changed default connector shape and can't change it back

I was using the default connector with the arrow at the end of the line.
Suddenly, the arrow disappeared and I just had the line. I have followed the
directions in help for setting up a new default connector but that did not
work. Whenever I click on the connector icon in my toolbar, I just get the
line. I have a huge set of flowcharts to make and can't take the time to
manual reconfigure every connector.
Thanks

I'm not sure which instructions you are referring to. Here is what I would
try:

- Go to File > Shapes > Show Document Stencil
- Double-click on the Dynamic Connector master shape in that stencil
- Format the connector the way you want
- Close the editing window and say Yes to save changes

You should now get this formatting for any new connector you create with the
Connector Tool.

This was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
I wa getting hung up with the directions to set a default connector style
and that was not helping.

I'm having the same problem with Visio 2000. Somehow the dynamic connector
tool in the toolbar got set to put arrow ends on the connector lines and I
can't for the life of me figure out how to change the default to no arrow
ends. I tried the advice you gave Becky2005 and the menu layout is
different; she must be running a newer version. I couldn't find anything in
Help about setting the default behavior for the connector tool, either. I'm
using the toolbar button, not the stencil. Does the toolbar button use the
information from the dynamic connector stencil shape?

You might try this: Click somewhere on the page to make sure nothing is
selected. Go to Format > Line and make sure there are no line ends
specified.
