I click on autoshapes, then connectors. The connectors are shown .

When I click on autoshapes, then on connectors, I can see the connectors, but
they are not accessible.

Hi Sam,

In Word the active connectors work only inside of
a Drawing Canvas (Word 2002/2003) or MS Draw (Word 6 thru 2000).
Use Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing to create a draw canvas
to contain the elements of your diagram.
If you do not wish to work in the canvas then in Word
you'd generally need to 'make' connectors from the
line autoshapes and then group the line with the
shapes to keep them connected.

Powerpoint slides are each a similar container so you
can, if you have Powerpoint, work with the connectors there
rather than in Word if you prefer.
