I do find special paragraph mark all I get is ^V and won't find

I do find special paragraph mark all I get is ^V and then it won't find the
paragraph marks in my document. There are many in the document - I have view
formatting marks turned on so I can see them. I'm using Windows XP Pro and
Word 2003.

Try finding ^p (paragraph break) or ^l (line break) unless you are actually
searching for the (printing) symbol.
