I don't get the field codes displayed, even i press shift+F9

All of the sudden i am not geeting the field code option, when i press shift
+ f9
Infact, nothing is happening with the key combination. I use to get it
previously.
My Ms office version is Office 2003

Shift+F9 will toggle *selected* fields.
Alt+F9 will toggle all fields.

If that doesn't help then maybe Shift+F9 has been assigned to something else

Press Ctrl+Alt+Numeric keypad Plus
Press Shift+F9

If nothing happens, press Esc. Otherwise what command does it show?
