I am unable to hide the right and left borders in tables,
sometimes all the borders print even though I select none.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help

Hi Sudheer

How are you setting borders? You need to click in the table, and do Format >
Borders and Shading.

Word can display gridlines in tables, but these don't print. They are only
guides to make it easier for you and I to see what's going on. You can turn
off the gridlines using Table > Hide Gridlines (and turn them on again with
Table > Show Gridlines). Maybe you're turning off grid lines, but not the
table borders?

Word can also display text boundaries. This is controlled at Tools > Options
View at the "Text Boundaries" box. Maybe you're turning off text
boundaries, and not the table borders?

If these ideas don't help, post back and let us know what version of Word
you have, how you inserted the tabe, and what steps you're taking to select
no borders.

Hope this helps.
