I download a query from access to excel it sometimes appends 1

sometimes when I download my query from access to an existing excel file, the
name of the query changes (appends a 1 or a 2). My code in the spreadsheet
then no longer works as it points to the query name (without the appended
digit)

any help???

I don't quite understand. If you export the results of an Access Query, the
Excel spreadsheet does not know anything about the query name. Is this an MS
Query that Excel is using to pull data from Access? Please give more detail.

Hi Jan,

I'm not sure what you mean by "download". Are you exporting from Access,
or importing into Excel, or downloading from a web page, or what?
